‘’Eavesdropshop’’ draws a critique of a panoptic society experienced, in which the mechanisms of control have been dissolved into the possession of the citizens themselves. By creating the eavesdrobjects, the artist brings one of the oldest techniques of observing she learned in her childhood - eavesdropping on the walls with the help of household objects. Within, she recalls the Orwellian visions from the past century steadily closer to a state of operation. Lavishly displayed in a newly opened, sui generis shop, the objects are meant to be used for hearing the sound of the future, nostalgia, and social dreaming (Future Nostalgia FM)︎︎︎.
